Intuit and Anthropic Partner to Launch Custom AI Agents for Financial Services

Intuit and Anthropic have announced a multi-year partnership to integrate advanced artificial intelligence into tools used by consumers and businesses. The collaboration, made public on February 24, 2026, is built around combining Intuit’s deep expertise in financial software with Anthropic’s AI technology, including its Claude models, to create customizable AI agents that can understand and support complex workflows. The initiative is positioned as a way to bring trusted, knowledgeable automation into everyday financial and operational tasks.

Under the terms of the agreement, mid-market businesses will be able to build secure, tailored AI agents on the Intuit platform using Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK. These agents are designed to go beyond simple automated responses by learning from a company’s own data and processes. For example, in a scenario described by the companies, a regional restaurant group could deploy an agent that merges sales and payroll data to highlight profit margins and underperforming locations. A construction subcontractor might use a customized agent to connect project timelines with cash flow forecasts, identify potential billing gaps, and help ensure compliance with deadlines.

The partnership also plans to embed Intuit’s financial intelligence directly into Anthropic’s ecosystem. Services such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp will be surfaced inside Anthropic products like Claude for Enterprise and Claude.ai. This integration aims to give users access to trusted financial tools within a broader AI environment, potentially making it easier for individuals and business users to perform tasks once confined to separate applications.

Security, privacy, and compliance are central to how the companies describe the rollout. Intuit has emphasized that all agents and experiences built through this collaboration will operate securely on its platform and that customer data will be used only with permission. In addition to customer-facing capabilities, Intuit said it is deploying Anthropic’s Claude Code internally to improve its own engineering productivity.

Why does this matter?

Executives from both organizations characterized the effort as a significant step toward more personalized and actionable financial intelligence. They said the partnership could unlock new benefits tailored to the unique needs of individual users and businesses. The new AI experiences are expected to begin rolling out in spring 2026.
